On March 30, the International Women's Peace Group (IWPG) Global 10 Division (Global Director Cho Baek-ri) held an online overseas cultural exchange event in Japan.

A total of 65 people from eight countries, including South Korea, Japan, India, the United Arab Emirates, North Macedonia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Mexico, participated in the event.

This overseas cultural exchange event is part of the 2024 IWPG slogan, "Strategic Solidarity for Sustainable Peace," and will be held twice in 2023. This year marks the second time it has been held, following the Kazakhstan edition last January.

Global Director Cho Baek-ri said in her greeting, "I hope this overseas cultural exchange event will be a meaningful event that promotes communication between overseas members and the 6th International Peace and Love Painting Competition. Culture has great power. I was deeply moved by the digital illustrations that convey the spirit of peace to friends suffering from war."

Lecturer Akane Hashimoto said, "I am happy to have had the opportunity to introduce and lecture on works that express peace and love through digital illustrations. It was a very proud and rewarding time for me as an IWPG member, and I hope to continue to enjoy spreading peace activities."

Participant Makusti from North Macedonia commented, "I think it's great that you can express peace through digital illustrations. I would like to try this with my students. I found today's exchange session very useful."

"IWPG is an international NGO registered with the United Nations ECOSOC and DGC, and is actively working to realize sustainable peace and security, increase women's participation in peace processes around the world, and build solidarity among women. In order to leave a legacy of peace for future generations, we are continuously carrying out a variety of activities to realize a peaceful world without war through the culture of peace."
